UN IVD Partnership For Goals :The Institution of Green Engineers proudly supports United Nation International Volunteer Day (IVD) on 5 December, to recognise the contributed volunteers who offer their skills, time and enthusiasm to communities across the world through “IGEN-IVD Volunteer Recognition Award” in association with Noble Institution for Environmental Peace .

About International Volunteer Day (IVD): International Volunteer Day (IVD) mandated by the UN General Assembly, is held each year on 5 December. It is viewed as a unique chance for volunteers and organisations to celebrate their efforts, to share their values, and to promote their work among their communities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), United Nations agencies, government authorities and the private sector..

Volunteer Award Nomination Category:

CATEGORY A : Individual Volunteer Nomination: : Individual volunteers(No Age limit), Who have demonstrated their outstanding commitment to their role as a volunteer and Shown a high level of motivation to make a difference in the society they work. His/her contribution towards the society by alone or through his volunteering organisation. .

CATEGORY B : Registered Organisation Nomination:The organisation registered under Society Act / NGO / Foundation / Non-Profit Organisation / Trustee / Association / Clubs / Groups etc are eligible for nomination, if their contribution of works towards the sustainable growth of the society. .

Non-Registered Organisation: The non-registered organisation who operate the activities through the social media (website/Facebook/Instagram/LinkedIn etc) are eligible for nomination, if their contribution of works towards the sustainable growth of the society.

IVD Award Nomination Process:

Step 01 Document Proof Submission : Document Proof Submission : Submit all the required information in the Google Form

CATEGORY A - Individual Volunteer Nomination Entry Form

CATEGORY B - Organisation Nomination Entry Form

Step 02 Social Media Connect: Like IGEN Facebook page @

Step 03 Video Nomination :: Present the outcome of your work in video (minimum 2minutes & max 8minutes) and post the video @ your personnel face book page with short description and include the below mentioned HASHTAG, #igenivdaward #VolunteerNow #IVD2023 #theigen #igenVolunteer. Then tag your video link @theigen.org.

Step 04 Join the Nominators Group: Join the WhatsApp Group at https@

Step 05 Review Process: IGEN Award Committee will review all the application and publish the shortlisted participants for Interview Round

Step 06 Result Publication: The committee will publish the result and the winners will be felicitated by the UN Volunteer Representative at Digital Award function, organised on 05th December 2023 on the occasion of UN International Volunteer Day by IGEN.

2021-2022 AWARD: The noination of the Award launched on 05th December 2022 by Prof. Dr Biswajit Ganguly(Professor Ganguly - President and CEO of Noble Institution for Environmental Peace) and Professor Roger I. C. Hansell – President of Noble International University, USA and an Emeritus Professor of University of Toronto and the Award presentation ceremony witnessed on 03rd September 2022 by the same guest.
