ABOUT BICYCLE DAY ?

It all began with Professor Leszek Sibilski of the US and his Sociology class led a grassroots campaign to promote a UN Resolution to designate a day that would celebrate and promote the use of the bicycle around the world. The campaign grew, and the resolution was sponsored by Turkmenistan and co-sponsored by 56 countries.
In April 2018, the United Nations General Assembly declared June 3 as International World Bicycle Day. The resolution for World Bicycle Day recognizes "the uniqueness, longevity and versatility of the BICYCLE, which has been in use for two centuries, and that it is a simple, affordable, reliable, clean and environmentally fit sustainable means of transport."

CYCLE FOR MOTHER EARTH AND REDUCE CO2 EMISSION

“Each 7 km by bicycle will save an emission of 1 kilogram of CO2 as compared to the same distance covered by car”

Challenge to Save CO2: The Participants can fix their target to reduce CO2 and start the Challenge from today.

Example: Mr Krishna started his challenge titled #igenwbd Krishna.challenge S100 ( Krishna decided to cycle for 70km to Save 100kg mission of Co2)
